Jenny Murphy, Ireland’s centre for the World Cup 2017 expressed her thoughts and fierceness as she said that Ireland has nothing to fear against the French.
Team France made a great start during the opening of the World Cup. However, Murphy insisted that Ireland is not afraid of their opposing team. She also added that they already proved their worth in the field as they held victory against Les Bleus during the recent event in the Six Nations.
“They’re not anything to be afraid of,” Murphy clearly stated. “They’re a solid team, they have a nice set-piece, but when we’re playing really well, we’re sharp and more than capable of dealing with the arsenal of weapons they have, and then some,” she added.
Murphy also said in an interview that the performance of the team so far is not yet the final blast of their performance for the cup. However, she also said that she knows their capacity in the field of rugby.
The team has still something to show off for this year’s World Cup tournament.
“Sometimes one or two ugly wins will do us the world of good. This is our kick up the ass. We know what we’re capable of. We weren’t happy with some of the performances we’ve put in, but we know what we are able to do.”
