A young man was raced to hospital after he was beaten by a vicious teen gang armed with a “metal pipe” in a north Dublin park.

The horror attack took place in Baldoyle Park yesterday evening shortly after 7pm.

The man, who is in his 20s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital after he was surrounded by a group of teens while walking through the popular park.

The brutal assault took place in front of a number of stunned witnesses.

The group continued to hit the victim with what appeared to be a “metal pipe thing” while he lay on the ground, one eye-witness told TheJournal.ie

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live they are investigating the shocking incident.

He said: “Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault that took place yesterday evening, 29th November 2020 shortly after 7pm in Baldoyle Park, Co.Dublin.

“A man his 20s was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of his injuries following the incident.

“No arrests have been made at this time. Investigations ongoing.”

This is the latest in a string of vile attacks carried out by teen gangs in Baldoyle and surrounding areas.

Last week, a number of teenagers in a nearby area were attacked by a gang who are believed to have been armed with hammers.

A source told Dublin Live: “This gang are from a neighbouring north Dublin area and have been coming into the area and causing hell for locals.

“People are genuinely scared for their lives as similar attacks have taken place in the last six months. It’s only a matter of time before someone is killed or seriously injured by them.”

Earlier this month, we reported that a dangerous Dublin “bike gang” have been terrifying and preying on northside locals for almost a month.

The group of youths have seriously injured people, sending them to hospital by ambulance, and have even destroyed property in the Raheny area as they inflict terror on residents.

A source said: “There’s gangs coming in from a certain area and targeting the surrounding Raheny and Clontarf areas.

“They are a mixture of young men and women who are terrorising locals, stealing bikes, punching people and bringing fear to the area.

“The gang last night were on bikes and were damaging cars, knocking off mirrors and jumping on them. It’s happening regularly, they’ve had a scary control over the area.”
