A Garda manhunt has been launched after a father-of-two was stabbed several times outside a Dublin house in a bloody attack.
The man, in his late 30s, was the victim of a brutal knife assault on Sunday night that took place in the Priorswood area just after 10:30pm.
He was seriously injured during the stabbing and was immediately taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is still recovering from his injuries.
Dublin Live understands that the dad was stabbed by the crazed knifeman multiple times in the arms and chest before the attacker fled the scene on foot.
The attacker is also understood to have smashed a window in the house during the attack with Gardai launching an investigation into the horror assault.
A Garda spokeswoman confirmed the stabbing to Dublin Live.
She said: “Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault that occurred on Sunday, 10th January at 10.30pm in Priorswood.
“A man, aged in his 30s, received serious injuries and was taken to Beaumont Hospital.”
She added: “No arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing.”
