A popular Dublin gym chain has announced that it will reopen its doors after being shut since the start of coronavirus in March.
Ben Dunne gyms has issued a reopening date for one of its busiest gyms despite their well-known owner swearing blind that he would not unlock the doors until there was a ‘Covid-19 cure’.
In an email to gym goers today, the company confirmed that they would be reopening its Ben Dunne Gym in Carlisle, Kimmage on Wednesday December 2.
Those who have not cancelled their membership will have their next payment for the gym taken out on January 8.
The monthly fee is now at €29 per month and will be collected on the 8th “or closest working day thereafter, until you cancel your membership”.
As expected, the gym has strict rules in place for users who must arrive at the place ready to workout and also sanitise their hands on entry.
Booking a gym slot is not required but a hand towel is essential with the gym stating “no hand towel, no admission”.
The rules state:
- You must arrive to the gym ready to workout. Lockers are available on the gym floor for personal belongings. Changing facilities, pool facilities and classes are no longer available.
- Members must sanitize their hands on entering the gym and hand sansitization stations are available throughout the gym.
- Members must bring and use a hand towel. No hand towel – no admission. Surface cleaner available throughout the gym and members should clean equipment before and after use.
- Individual training only.
Booking gym slots is not required.
