Michael Buble stepped in himself to fill the hurling void at Croke Park last night.
The Canadian crooner’s comeback show at GAA HQ forced the Leinster Hurling Final replay between Galway and Kilkenny to be moved to Semple Stadium in Thurles.
However, while Buble won’t be able to rival the skills of a Joe Canning, he still treated his audience to a snippet of his hurling skills.
The singer took out a hurl and did a few solos before quickly getting back to the day job.
Although it appeared by the bounce of the ball that he opted to use a tennis ball rather than a traditional sliotar.
One twitter user commented: “The Leinster final replay might be moved to Thurles tomorrow but fear not there is still hurling on in Croke Park this weekend.
“Michael Buble is here with his ‘stick’ and ‘tennis ball’ Hurling purists must be turning in their graves!”
Buble moves on to London where he plays Hyde Park next week, while Galway and Kilkenny will go at it again at 3pm this afternoon in Thurles.
