Hundreds of homes in south Dublin without power for hours due to major outage

Hundreds of homes have been let without power for hours due to a major outage in south Dublin.

More than 300 homes in Rathfarnham and Sandyford have been affected by the loss of power.

The outage was first reported shortly after 1pm and homeowners have been told they will be without power until at least 5pm.

ESB Networks said: We have a fault in Rathfarnham and surrounding areas of Dublin 16. We are working to repair as quickly as possible. Updates on http://powercheck.ie. Apologies for the inconvenience.”
