How Dubliner managed to bag €7,500 instead of €5 in Irish EuroMillions draw

A Dublin local has turned €5 into a massive four figure sum in a shock EuroMillions win last night.

The lucky punter took on huge odds winning 1,500 times the amount of their bet thanks to just three lucky numbers.

The anonymous punter placed a fiver treble via their online BoyleSports account to try and overcome the mammoth odds in the EuroMillions main draw on Friday evening.

The customer selected numbers 4, 10 and 27 to be drawn and the trio rolled out of the machine landing the big payout of €7,505.

If they had matched the three numbers on a EuroMillions ticket, they would have bagged just €9 – not even double their bet.

A spokeswoman for BoyleSports, Sarah Kinsella, said: “One of our customers in Dublin took aim at our 1,500/1 odds for three numbers and their ambition has paid off handsomely with a profit of €7,500.

“Hopefully this big win will go down well, and we congratulate them for scooping such an amount from just a fiver bet.”
