Horror show as savage gang ransack Dublin home while elderly couple pop to shops

An elderly southside couple are now fearing for their lives and of a repeat attack after their home was ransacked by a Dublin gang while they went shopping

The married pair, who are in their 60s, had large quantities of expensive jewellery stolen from their Tallaght home despite only leaving the house vacant for one hour to grab some shopping during current lockdown restrictions.

When they returned from the supermarket, they came home to a horror show as their room was turned upside down with the house lit up like a Christmas tree despite being in darkness when they left.

It is understood that the gang forced their way into the property using the front door making their way straight for the bedroom.

The precious jewels that were taken included wedding rings, engagement rings and well-known branded watches.
