Four arrested in probe into shooting of woman and man in Bluebell

Four people have been arrested by gardai investigating the shooting of a young woman in south Dublin yesterday afternoon.

The mum-of-one, who is in her 30s, remains is fighting for her life in hospital following the broad daylight attack.

A man in his 30s also remains in a serious condition in hospital.

The four men who have been arrested are aged in their 20s and 30s and are currently being detained at Kevin Street, Kilmainham and Irishtown garda stations.

A garda spokesman said: “Gardaí investigating the shooting incident that occurred in Bluebell, Dublin 8, on 06/03/2021 have arrested four men.

“The men, aged in their 20s and 30s, are detained at Kevin Street (2), Kilmainham and Irishtown Garda Stations under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

“The injured woman remains in a serious condition in hospital. The man, aged in his 30s, who presented in hospital also remains in serious condition.

“Gardaí are counting to appeal for anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward.

“Anyone with any information in relation to this matter should contact Kevin Street Garda Station on 01 666 9400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.”
