Former Dancing With The Stars host Amanda Byram has admitted she didn’t watch the third season after Jennifer Zamparelli stepped into her presenting shoes.
The stunning TV star, who fronted the hit RTE show in 2017 and 2018, said she couldn’t access the player in LA where she’s been based since last year.
Amanda told Dublin Live: “I didn’t watch it because I wasn’t here.
“I’ve been working out in LA since last April and I just got back last month.
She added: “I don’t know how to watch it on the player, it doesn’t work in London and it doesn’t work in LA. But my mum was watching every week and she gave me all the updates.
“And I was looking at updates on Twitter of course like everyone else.”
Even though she didn’t see the series, the Total Wipeout anchor threw her full support behind Breakfast Republic presenter Jennifer, saying: “I’m sure she was absolutely brilliant.
She said: “She’s a comedienne, she’s an actress, she knows her stuff and Nicky knows the ropes on that show so well.
“At the end of the day, whether it’s Nicky and I or Jen and Nicky, it’s the dancing that makes the show so no matter what that will always be the most entertaining.”
The 45-year-old fitness guru was in Dublin this week to launch No7 Laboratories new Firming Booster Serum and Dark Spot Correcting Booster Serum, which are available exclusively in Boots Ireland.
A survey by the brand revealed that Generation X women – those aged between 39 and 53 – rate a naturally happy smile (71%) and radiant skin (57%) as the top signs of beauty.
Between working on TV projects, designing her second season of the Body by Byram fitness wear range and studying nutrition, Amanda confessed that maintaining her flawless skin can be a challenge.
The Castleknock beauty insists she’s never never had any work done – but admits being tempted while working on the controversial plastic surgery makeover series the Swan in 2004.
She said: “I’ve not had any work done, not even botox.
“I used to work on the Swan and at lunch breaks everybody would be going to Dr Dubrow’s office for botox.
“I was in my 30s and I was just starting to see fine lines, so I was tempted.
“But I was absolutely petrified at the thought of putting botulism in my body.
She added: “I think maybe because I’m so healthy the thought of a foreign body in my body just feels a little bit weird.
“I’m not saying never because I never say never about anything, but I have seen plastic surgery and fillers and injectables go so wrong during my time in LA.
“We’d all love to rewind the clock and look the way we looked when we were 20 but you can’t achieve that with fillers and botox and surgery – it just makes you just look like a different person.”
This week also saw Amanda celebrate her third wedding anniversary to creative content producer Julian Okines, posting a heartwarming throwback snap of their 2016 nuptials on Instagram.
She gushed: “Thank you Universe for sending me the kind, caring, honest, passionate, loving, funniest and hot as balls man I had always dreamt of!
“I can’t believe it’s been three years since we said ‘We do’…time goes so quickly, yet I’ve cherished every moment…here’s to the next 30 my love.
“Thanks for being my absolute rock.”
