Cocaine induced driver caught going 20km/h over speed limit at Dublin checkpoint

46

A drug induced driver was caught going almost 20km/h above the speed limit by gardai in Dublin.

The driver, who ended up testing positive for cocaine after being stopped by gardai, was caught at a checkpoint in Tallaght late last night.

They were driving at 79km/h in a 60km/h zone when he was caught out.

They now face a court summons due to not only speeding but their positive drug test.

The garda traffic account said: “Gardaí conducting a checkpoint in Tallaght recently stopped a vehicle doing 79kmph in a 60kmph zone.

“Driver tested positive for cocaine. Summons to follow for the driver. #SlowDown”
